I've been to Roland's Pub in Whistler! Great tasting draught and a funny ass bartender, I think his name was Big Rick or something like that.

So tell me, what makes these "great locations", is it because you say they are? What makes the beer at these places better then a place like say Milestones? Beer is beer, it doesn't matter where it's poured, what sets beers apart is the people who make it and what ingredients they put in it. Just saying.

Thanks for taking part in our blog Rachel, you bring up a good question as to what makes these "great locations." It's actually the owners/managers that make the difference in these particular locations. They care about the quality of what they serve, they choose to maintain their draught beer systems as others often do not. The end result for you the consumer is a quality product. With regard to your statement "beer is beer, it doesn't matter where it's poured, what sets beers apart is the people who make it and what ingredients they put in it." That is simply not the fact, a beer system that is left unmaintained will drastically change both flavor and quality of the beer. As well as make people ill from bacteria build up inside the system.

I've been to The Crystal Lounge in Whistler, great live music & ice cold beer on tap. I loved that place and miss Whistler greatly.
